Will OSHA investigate a forklift operator who is a danger to other workers because of his failing eyesight?

This worker has already had work related accidents because he cannot see well. His employer will not do anything about it, like letting him go, because they are worried about a lawsuit.

Public Comments

  1. No OSHA will not but the company's insurance provider will have plenty to say. The company just needs to reassign this worker
  2. You can fill out an online report to OSHA. You need to see if your state has their own program, since filling out their form will be faster. They may or may not investigate, but only asking will find out. You need to emphasize the danger to the workers.
