How long after obtaining your OSHA 40 HAZWOPER do you have to complete 8-hour refresher training?
I earned my OSHA 40 HAZWOPER at the end of last February. How long can I wait to take and 8 hour refresher course before my certification expires, or does it never expire?

- I think your best bet is to talk to your company or your training person. This is soemthing that I have never seen OSHA give a definitive answer about. I really think it is up to the trainer and company involved that certify you to do the work. An OSHA training certificate is not a certification. OSHA doesn't certify anyone. The certification are usually another government agency or a state. I have seen people wait six months after the "annual" date to do it. You might want to call your nearest local OSHA office to get the "real" answer. See the second reference for OSHA's wishy-washy answer.
