OSHA fines for poor air ventilation in the workplace regarding large commercial solvent based printers?
I work for a company that uses a large format solvent based ink printer. This company has been in business for at least 2 years and has never had any type of ventilation. The room seems small for the large printer and an air filtration units' filter, currently in place, has not been changed for over 6 months. These types of printers produce large amounts of toxic fumes. What kind of fines could this company be facing if they are not up to OSHA's air quality standards?

- Report them to OSHA an find out..........make sure you tell your boss you made the report............
- I wouldn't tell your boss you made the report. Just make it. At my old job there were a lot of people being overcome by fumes, we complained a lot, they did nothing until they got a call from OSHA. After that there was this letter that went out to all the employees about how much they cared about our health, blah blah blah. Sometimes they have to be contacted by someone with legally enforceable authority to make them listen.
