Can I file an OSHA complaint if my work refuses to turn down the heat and I get sick?
In my office in our local hospital, it is always really really hot. My officemate and I have two fans, dimmed lights, and it's still hotter than hell in there. We've had to get ice packs and put them on the backs of our necks just to be comfortable enough to work. We've tried and tried to get them to turn down the heat, but it nothing ever gets done. Would an OSHA complaint help?

- I know it seems like it because of how uncomfortable it is at your office but I don't think that OSHA would consider that an unsafe or hazardous working environment. Sorry.
- No, it won't help. Have a talk with the building administrator, it is expensive to heat a building and hot spots cost a lot of money.
