What are OSHA requirements for a child care center?
I live in Florida and would like to know the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Heath Administration (OSHA) in a child care center.

- OSHA requirements vary by business type, but also by number of employees and relationship of the employees. OSHA doesn't usually govern over tiny staffs, so unless the childcare center has a great number of staff, it isn't likely OSHA governs them. Likewise, OSHA is an agency that protects the safety of employees...not visitors necessarily. While that is important of course, that is not the main goal of OSHA. So if you are asking because you are concerned about the kids, you are looking at the incorrect governing agency. You'd want to check out the state board of health or child welfare agencies for good practices where that is concerned. Hope this helps some.
