Does OSHA have a limit on what individuals should lift?
My company is expecting a select few of us to lift equipment which weighs in excess of 200lbs. We told them this is unreasonable and they replied "OSHA doesn't have any guidelines!" In other words lift it or find a new job! This has got to be BS!

- Osha doesn't set limits on just weight. They focus on surrounding safety equipment and instruction on lifting correctly. Also personal protective equipment for lifting. Sorry.
- OSHA does not have a limit, they have a recommendation or 50 pounds per person. NIOSH another government agency has good info on lifting and what they recommend.
